Cookie Policy

Last updated

This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind, which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a consent banner.

One thing is stored on your device, and it is not a cookie.

1. What we store

NameTypePurposeExpires
caflash.currency Local storage Remembers the currency you picked, so prices stay in it between visits. Until you clear your browser data

This is held in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie, which means it is never transmitted to us - it is read by the page on your own device to decide which prices to display. It contains a three-letter currency code such as USD or GBP, and nothing else. It cannot identify you.

Because it does only what you asked for by choosing a currency, it is a strictly necessary preference and does not require consent under the UK and EU ePrivacy rules. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site data settings; the site will simply go back to guessing from your location.

2. Guessing your currency

On your first visit, before you have chosen anything, the site asks its own server which country the request came from and preselects a matching currency. Cloudflare supplies that country at the network edge. It is used to pick a currency and then discarded - it is not written to your device, not logged against you, and not shared.

3. Cookies set by Stripe

When you continue to payment you leave this site for Stripe's own checkout pages. Stripe sets its own cookies there, which it needs for fraud prevention and to make payments work. Those cookies belong to Stripe, are set on Stripe's domain, and are outside our control. See Stripe's cookie policy.

No Stripe script runs on this site, so none of that happens unless you choose to go through to payment.

4. Cookies set by Cloudflare

Our host, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary cookie for security and bot management on some requests. It carries no personal information and is not used for tracking. See Cloudflare's cookie reference.

5. Fonts

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Google does not set cookies on font requests, but it does receive the request, which includes your IP address.

6. If this changes

If analytics or anything else that requires consent is ever added, this page will be updated and a consent banner will appear before it runs.
